Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding is a British artist and singer. She was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December, 1986 in Hereford. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 due to her catchy electronic pop tunes "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding stands at the forefront, like Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of popular contemporary music as well as independent artistic pop. Her soprano voice and knack for writing emotionally honest songs are what make her distinct. Polydor Records eventually signed Goulding to a major recording deal. The album she released was set to release.
