The ephemeral nature of her art style is apparent and what survives in Alexa Meade's art is a photographs. Trompe-l'oeil art is created using the two processes of photography and painting. The result is an unflattened and two-dimensional image. Occasionally, Meade integrates her painted models into the three-dimensional world around them, allowing them to engage with their own self-created environment. The boundaries between performance, photography, installation and painting can be dissolved.
