Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback singer as well as a musician. She works predominantly in Tamil and Malayalam language films. She first made an appearance as an actor with the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian origin. She was born to an attorney from the Madras High Court attorney. She also has one younger sister, who is currently working as a research associate in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah is born in Chennai. She was a student at National Public School, and then graduated Women's Christian College. Andrea was able to learn classical piano in her eighth year. In her twenties, she became a part of a group called the Jackson Five Young Stars which formed the basis of her first performing and music composition career. She appeared as a performer at the college, in a variety of performances hosted by The Madras Players or EVAM. Andrea was President of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started her acting career with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. Her 2006 role in the Leo Coffee commercial was in the role of Shiva. She also was a part-time actress in a show that was shown on Podhigai. She has performed in a variety of roles across India. The brief appearance was in Kanda Mudhal's climax, (2005). She sang a song for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. She was asked to play one of the female lead characters on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea portrays Kalyani in this film, which is a remake of James Siegel's novel Derailed. Her husband takes part in an affair and she is subsequently blackmailed. Andrea was chosen for the part after Simran and Tabu were two actors who were contacted by producers. Released in Early 2010. The film was released in early 2010. as part of Venkat's Mankatha in 2011 in which she starred alongside a variety of actors. She made her Malayalam debut on film in Rajeeev's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
