In 2012, she hosted American Ninja Warrior, alongside Matt Iseman. In 2014, Sun hosted The Yahoo Sports Minute. She was the first Asian American presenter to air on ESPN Fox Sports Yahoo Sports and Tennis Channel. Sun is a regular in a number of films and has received fame and praise for her acting talent. Sun has appeared in movies like Goliath (2016, Hit the Floor 2014-2016), A Perfect Getaway 2009) Shackled 2005, Street Kings 2008 and Glowsticks and Drumsticks 2004. Sun's feature length documentary Platic Paradise The Great Pacific Garbage Patch was a movie that focused on the impact of the plastic waste on oceans. She wrote, directed and produced the film herself.
