Simone Biles

Simone Biles, American gymnast (born 14 March 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.), was considered as one of sport's best athletes. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in the same Games and was also the first gymnast to earn three consecutive World All-around championships (2013-15). Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) adopted them. They grew in Houston's metropolitan area. Simone started to develop the sport of gymnastics seriously as an infant on a field trip to school at Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach over the next eleven years. Biles, who won silver and gold medals at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships 2010 in floor and vault prior to her first appearance in 2011 at the top division of competition. Within less than two years, she was the most successful athlete in her discipline. Biles was notable for her consistently high performance and exuberant personality as well as the difficult routines she performed across all four events including vault, bars with uneven surfaces and the balance beam.
